Charlesworth Adventures

The journey is always just beginning...

About Me!

In August of 2022, I moved to Hahnbach, Germany with my husband Troy and son Jacob, from San Antonio, Texas (with our cats Rebel and Sweetie). Five months later, my daughter Adelynn was born. We are a military family, and the Air Force brought us here to Bavaria. Living and traveling in Europe is a dream that both Troy and I have had since we were kids, and we are so excited to be able to fulfill it together with our children.

Before moving, I worked as a high school English teacher and cheerleading coach for nine years. I've lived all over the country in PA, OH, NV, NC, and TX. I collect rare and antique books, I'm a crazy cat lady (proud of it), and a red wine enthusiast! Most importantly, I'm wife to the most amazing man, and a proud mother to my incredible son and daughter.

Why this Blog?

For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to write. As a child, I was constantly writing my own short stories, a craft that grew in complexity and (hopefully) quality as I got older. I majored in English and Theatre during my undergrad at Baldwin-Wallace University and finally, in 2014, I self-published my first novel, Static. I followed up with my second in 2016, Such is Life.

This move overseas has allowed me to take a short break from my career, start my Master's in English at Bowling Green State University, and hopefully have a little more time to write. For those who are interested, I'll update you with our travels and life abroad in this blog!

Happy Reading!
